Cameron graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Resource and Environmental Planning (Honours) specialising in Water and Wastewater Technologies and has over 18 years professional experience having worked in both local government and the private sector. Cameron has been involved in notified and non-notified resource consent applications and Designations and has worked on Plan Changes and implementation planning projects in relation to both District and Regional Council functions. He has presented evidence in the Environment Court and has experience in consultation and mediation in the role of the Council, the applicant and the submitter. With a strategic and blue-sky thinking mind and an outcome focused approach, Cameron is well placed to take on projects that at the outset may appear undefined and requiring of innovative and creative approaches and solutions to navigate the challenges often encountered in resource management. Having worked across land development, municipal infrastructure, community facilities, inner city development projects, heritage matters, coastal planning, water quantity and quality matters and the rural sector, Cameron has a wealth of experience and can add real value to projects teams and outcomes.
Roger graduated from Massey University in 2000 with a Bachelor’s degree in Resource and Environmental Planning and has over 22 years of professional planning experience, having worked in numerous District Councils and private consultancies, providing multi-disciplinary services throughout the North Island. With consultancy experience across a broad range of projects in major centres, combined with Council experience, Roger has the ability to apply a practical and pragmatic approach to the challenges associated with resource management planning. Rogers’ experience with consenting across a range of land use, development and subdivision activities and the preparation of environmental effects assessments is broad, work has involved dealing with comprehensive residential and subdivision developments, retirement housing, rural subdivision and rural farm parks, lifestyle development, and industrial and commercial activities. His time in the industry has assisted him to develop a clear understanding of process, from project conception and development through to approval, while his problem-solving skills and relationship-building experience enables Roger to undertake and facilitate meaningful and constructive consultation with Councils and other stakeholders. This exposure also enables Roger to understand commercial realities and client needs, and how these can be best met via the consenting processes and within legislative constraints.
Andrew graduated from Massey University in 2001 with a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Science. He complemented this with a post-graduate Diploma in Environmental Science in 2008. He has over 17 years of professional planning experience, having worked in both local government and the private sector. Andrew has worked to both assess and prepare environmental effects assessments for diverse projects, including earthworks, flood protection, port infrastructure, forest harvesting, water supplies, and underground rail. He has prepared submissions for the proposed TANK Plan Change to the Hawkes Bay Regional Plan and appeared at its hearing. Much of his work has centred around water use and quality, while his earlier work in consent compliance gives him a strong understanding of how to negotiate conditions and how they can affect a project post-granting. Andrew has also had the opportunity to work with a range of stakeholders. This includes internal council stakeholders, iwi groups, infrastructure managers and developers. He has worked to provide expert advice in complex consenting processes to clients, submitters, and key stakeholders by taking complex issues and effectively communicating these to different audiences.
Rowan graduated from Lincoln University in 2005 with a bachelor’s degree in resource studies (Environmental Management Major and a Graduate Certificate in Commerce (Forestry) and has 20 years of professional experience, having worked in both local government and the private sector. Rowan’s vast experience across both the private and local government sectors has exposed him to all manner of resource management and planning projects across a broad spectrum, ranging from minor land use consents and infill subdivisions through to larger and more complex commercial and industrial developments, consents for earthworks, quarries, and stormwater discharges, submissions and presentation of evidence at Council hearings for consents and on plan changes. Rowan prides himself on his customer service and strives to build meaningful relationships with clients to understand their objectives and deliver on project outcomes and expectations.
Catherine has over 20 years of professional planning experience, having worked in both local government and the private sector. Catherine’s professional experience crosses a wide range of interest areas, including policy development; structure planning; residential, commercial and infrastructure developments for private and public sector clients, and regional consenting (including large-scale water allocation applications). This broad experience base enables her to bring an integrated approach to complex planning projects. Catherine has a keen interest and experience in urban development matters. She was a member of the core consultancy team for Auckland Council’s Unitary Plan review for the City Centre and Residential workstreams, which unlocked significant development potential across the Auckland region. More recently, she has assisted both Napier City and Hastings District Councils with urban planning policy development. Catherine has also worked extensively for residential and commercial developers and understands the importance of bringing a strategic, pragmatic approach as well as technical expertise to projects.
Sven is a Senior Associate - Planner and Sustainability Advisor and has over 20 years of professional experience spanning local government and consultancy. His work is recognised for regulatory planning expertise, preparing and reviewing resource consent applications, stakeholder engagement, and technical reporting. Sven’s multidisciplinary background enhances his ability to clearly navigate complex technical challenges and conceptualise innovative solutions in planning and environmental management. Sven is well-versed in leading the development of sustainability strategies and plans and embedding sustainability into design and procurement, having provided advice for high- profile public and private sector clients in New Zealand and Australia. With proven success in leading and collaborating with technical experts, Sven is known for his analytical approach, governance capability, and commitment to sustainable, pragmatic outcomes. Comfortable in settings from leading workshops to council hearings to Mana Whenua and community engagement, Sven brings strategic thinking and attention to both technical and social dimensions of planning and sustainability.
Paul graduated from Massey University in 1988 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Resource and Environmental Planning and obtained a Post Graduate Master’s in Environmental Management (2005) from University College Dublin, Ireland. Paul has over 27 years’ planning experience, primarily involved in urban planning and land development, including rural and residential infill and greenfield developments, heritage regeneration and industrial and commercial development. Paul’s experience with Stradegy has involved liaising with developers and technical experts and preparing assessments of environmental effects for a broad range of land use and subdivision activities. As part of this role, Paul has worked with a range of stakeholders, including internal council stakeholders, iwi groups, infrastructure managers and developers and has a strong track record in forming good working relationships and negotiating outcomes for clients. Paul has been involved in a range of social housing, commercial, and healthcare projects in the Hawkes Bay Region, Gisborne and the Manawatu Region.
Charlotte graduated with a Bachelor of Science majoring in Geography with a Master’s in Regional and Resource Planning. Building on her interests in natural resource planning, she has also gone on to complete her PhD in Freshwater Governing. With a depth of experience in working on multi-disciplinary projects, Charlotte has developed strong project management and communication skills and the ability to quickly understand various technical and scientific matters. This enables her to deliver expert planning advice and quality research skills. She has presented planning evidence in the Environment Court, Board of Enquiries, and Special Tribunals on resource consents, plan changes and water conservation orders. Charlotte is a competent planning witness and trusted advisor.
